‘King of Staten Island’ Ascends on Redbox Charts

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s The King of Staten Island debuted at No. 1 on both Redbox’s disc and digital charts the week ended Aug. 30.

The latest comedy from Judd Apatow stars and is loosely inspired by the life of Pete Davidson of “Saturday Night Live.”

Screen Media’s war drama The Outpost slipped to No. 2 on Redbox’s kiosk disc rental chart, which tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at the company’s more than 40,000 red kiosks. The Outpost stayed at No. 5 on the Redbox On Demand chart, which tracks digital rental transactions.

The No. 3 disc rental is Redbox’s own Hard Kill, an action-thriller about a billionaire (Bruce Willis) who hires a team of mercenaries to protect a new piece of technology.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s Scoob! dropped to No. 4 on the disc chart.

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s You Should Have Left was the No. 5 disc rental and slid to No. 9 on the On Demand chart.

RLJ Films’ The Tax Collector slipped to No. 3 on the On Demand chart after three weeks in the top spot.

Universal’s Luce took the No. 4 spot on Redbox’s digital transactions chart.

A number of Universal catalog films also moved up the On Demand chart, with Girls Trip taking No. 2, Straight Outta Compton at No. 6, Get Out at No. 7, and BlacKkKlansman at No. 10.

MGM’s Bill & Ted Face the Music entered the chart at No. 8.
