No fewer than six Christmas-themed movies dominated household streaming the week ended Dec. 12, according to new data from JustWatch. The data/recommendation software tracks more than 20 million users’ monthly streaming decisions across 54 countries.
Among the holiday movies, The Grinch, Elf, the 2000 live-action How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the 1960s animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas! took the top four spots, with Scrooged and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in the No. 6 and No. 10 spots, respectively.
Among TV shows, Paramount Network’s Montana-based drama “Yellowstone” again led all episodic programming. Indeed, the series, which is in its fourth season, bested high-profile competitors “And Just Like That …,” the new HBO Max “Sex and the City” reboot, which finished No. 8. That trailed the Disney+ original miniseries from Peter Jackson, “The Beatles: Get Back,” which finished No. 4.
