It’s ‘Bad Boys for Life’ in the U.K.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Bad Boys For Life debuted as the No. 1 home entertainment release (physical/digital) in the United Kingdom for the week ended May 20, according to the Official Film Chart.

The third installment in the action franchise starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence knocked the previous week’s champ, 1917 (eOne), to No. 2, while holding off Disney/Pixar’s Onward in the third spot and Sony Pictures’ chart newcomer Little Women in fourth place.

Directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh and Eliza Scanlen, the newest adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel was nominated for six Oscars, winning Best Costume Design.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Jojo Rabbit (Disney/Fox) at No. 5, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker (Disney/Lucasfilm) at No. 6, and Frozen II (Disney) at No. 7. Sony Pictures’ Jumanji: The Next Level finished in ninth, followed by The Gentlemen (EIV) at No. 10.
