‘Irresistible’ Again Tops Redbox Disc Rentals; ‘Invisible Man’ Returns as On Demand No. 1

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Irresistible remained No. 1 on Redbox’s disc rental chart the for a second week the week ended Sept. 13.

But Redbox’s On Demand chart, which tracks digital rental transactions, had Universal’s remake of The Invisible Man at No. 1. Irresistible was No. 6.

After two weeks in the digital top spot, Universal’s The King of Staten Island slipped to No. 2 on the Redbox On Demand chart, but rose a spot to also take No. 2 on the disc rental chart, which tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at the company’s more than 40,000 red kiosks.

The Lionsgate action movie Rogue fell to No. 3 on the disc chart, and No. 9 on the On Demand chart.

Screen Media’s war drama The Outpost stayed at No. 4 on Redbox’s disc rental chart, followed by Redbox’s own Hard Kill at No. 5.

RLJ Films’ Z moved up four spots to No. 3 on the On Demand chart (No. 7 on the rental chart), followed on the digital chart at No. 4 by another RLJ release, The Tax Collector.

Universal’s The 2nd debuted slipped to No. 5 on Redbox’s digital transactions chart.
