‘Dolittle’ Takes Over No. 1 Spot on Redbox Charts

Universal’s Dolittle took over the No. 1 spot on Redbox’s kiosk disc rental and On Demand charts the week ended April 12.

Another newcomer, Sony Pictures’ new adaptation of Little Women, was No. 2 on the disc chart and No. 6 on the digital chart.

The Redbox disc rental chart tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at the company’s more than 40,000 red kiosks. The Redbox On Demand chart tracks digital transactions, including both electronic sellthrough and streaming rentals.

The previous week’s top disc rental, Sony Pictures’ Jumanji: The Next Level, dropped to No. 3 on the rental chart and No. 4 on the On Demand chart.

Universal Pictures’ 1917 dropped to No. 4 on the disc chart and No. 7 on the On Demand chart.

Universal’s much-maligned musical adaptation of Cats debuted at No. 5 on the disc chart.

Warner’s Birds of Prey was No. 2 on the On Demand chart.

The hotly anticipated animated sequel Trolls World Tour, which was released via VOD April 10, debuted at No. 3 on the digital chart after only two days of tracking.

The No. 5 On Demand title was The Call of the Wild, from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
