The Entertainment Aid Alliance (formerly the Entertainment AIDS Alliance) June 21 kicked off its newly expanded charitable mission with the annual Wine, Wisdom and Vision event at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. The organization announced the establishment of the Maria La Magra and Heather Hinkel Fund, to benefit cancer patients, to accompany the existing Marc Berman Fund, which benefits AIDS and HIV sufferers. Friends paid tribute to former EAA members La Magra and Hinkel, who both passed away in recent years. Performers included Dale Hindman and other magicians from sponsor Magic Castle Inc.; DJ Richie Rich (“Lip Sync Battle”); and the rock band The Mowgli’s. The EAA also honored actor Michael Kearns with it Visionary Award.
