Shout! Factory and Eleven Arts have set home release dates for Blue Thermal, the highly anticipated movie adaptation of the acclaimed manga of the same name.

The film will make its North American debut on March 14 on Blu-ray Disc and through digital retailers (for purchase).

The Blu-ray Disc includes such bonus content as an interview with director Masaki Tachibana and character profiles.

Produced by Telecom Animation Film, Blue Thermal is the long-awaited feature film adaptation of author and creator Kana Ozawa’s popular manga series, which ran in Shinchosha’s Monthly Comic @Bunch Magazine for many years before being published in five book volumes.

The coming-of-age movie captures the tension and excitement of a young college student who joins the school’s aviation club flying for the first time, as well as the beauty and exhilaration of the aerial scenery as seen from the pilot’s seat. Blue Thermal boasts a stellar Japanese voice cast of Mayu Hotta (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War 2019), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Summer Ghost), Junya Enoki (My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission), Mikako Komatsu (Jujutsu Kaisen 0), Daisuke Ono (Batman Ninja), Haruka Shiraishi (When Marnie Was There), Yo Taichi (Her Blue Sky), Ayumu Murase (Drifting Home), Makoto Furukawa (Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative), Rie Takahashi (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal: The Movie), Taku Yashiro (The Island of Giant Insects), Kengo Kawanishi (Batman Ninja) and Minoru Terada (Castle in the Sky).
