Blu-ray Disc Release Party for ‘The Menu’

Underscoring its commitment to physical media, Walt Disney’s home entertainment team hosted a party for journalists and social-media influencers to promote the Blu-ray Disc release of the thriller The Menu. The bash was held Jan. 17 at the Blockbuster pop-up on trendy Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. Guests included stars Aimee Carrero, Arturo Castro and Mark St. Cyr, as well as such popular Instagram influencers as Vamp (@Vamp) and Vivian Fabiola (@VivianFabiolaV). The menu consisted of themed drinks that patrons could order by presenting the bartender with an appropriately labeled Blockbuster videocassette box, and Irv’s Burgers, the historic West Hollywood burger stand that is collaborating with Searchlight Pictures this month to offer a special based on the thriller’s climactic dish, a “well-made” cheeseburger.
