Sony Pictures’ Bloodshot shot to the top of the “Watched at Home” chart the week ended May 9, its home viewership skyrocketing after the horror film’s release on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.

Bloodshot soared to No. 1 from No. 13 the previous week, bumping another Sony Pictures release, Bad Boys for Life, to No. 2 on the chart, which tracks transactional video activity compiled from studio and retailer data through DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group.

Bloodshot, a superhero film based on the Valiant Comics character of the same name, was one of four movies to find a significantly broader audience due its availability on disc.

Lionsgate’s I Still Believe, a faith-based musical romantic drama based on the life of contemporary Christian music singer-songwriter Jeremy Camp and his first wife, Melissa Lynn Henning-Camp, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer shortly before they married, debuted at No. 6 on the weekly chart.

Another Lionsgate release, Arkansas, a thriller starring Vivica A. Fox, John Malkovich and Vince Vaughn, bowed at No. 13, while Warner Bros.’ Gretel & Hansel, the latest horror film based on the German folk tale, entered the top 20 at No. 14.

All four films because available on disc on May 5.

Paramount Home Entertainment’s Sonic the Hedgehog slipped to No. 3 from No. 2 the prior week, while Sony Pictures’ Jumanji: The Next Level remained at No. 4 for the second week.

Rounding out the top five was Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, down two notches from No. 3.

Also new to the “Watched at Home” chart are two Warner Bros. titles:  Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (No. 15), which was released digitally May 5 at a purchase price of $19.99, and season four of the Adult Swim TV series “Rick and Morty” (No. 17).
