‘Avengers: Endgame’ Takes Over Redbox Disc Rentals, ‘The Hustle’ Tops On Demand

Disney’s Avengers: Endgame took over the No. 1 spot on the Redbox kiosk disc rental chart the week ended Aug. 25. The Redbox disc rental chart tracks DVD and Blu-ray Disc rentals at the company’s more than 40,000 red kiosks.

The superhero blockbuster had debuted at No. 2 on the chart a week earlier.

MGM and Universal Pictures’ The Hustle debuted as the No. 2 disc rental and was No. 1 on the Redbox On Demand chart, which tracks digital transactions, including both electronic sellthrough and streaming rentals.

No. 2 on the On Demand chart and No. 5 on the rental chart was Sony Pictures’ Brightburn, a dark twist on a traditional superhero origin story.

Universal’s A Dog’s Journey, a sequel to 2017’s A Dog’s Purpose, debuted at No. 3 on both charts.
