Apple TV+ Competition Series ‘My Kind of Country’ to Premiere March 24

Apple TV+ will premiere the competition series “My Kind of Country” March 24, which will feature singer-songwriters Jimmie Allen, 2021 CMA New Artist of the Year; four-time Grammy nominee Mickey Guyton; and Orville Peck.

In the series — executive produced by and also featuring Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves — scouts search the globe to find talented artists and break the next big country star. Scouts Allen, Guyton and Peck each handpick a roster of exceptional up-and-coming artists and invite them to the home of country music in Nashville, Tenn., to showcase their unique sound. The competition winner will receive a prize from Apple Music, receiving support and exposure on the platform.
