‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ Grows Into Top October Seller

Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp was the top seller in terms of combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc units sold in October 2018 according to the NPD Group’s VideoScan tracking service.

The 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was one of five titles distributed by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in the top 10.

Perennial Halloween favorite Hocus Pocus was No. 3, the spot where it camped out on the weekly charts most of the month. Lucasfilm’s Solo: A Star Wars Story was the month’s No. 6 seller, after debuting in the last week of September. The Nightmare Before Christmas was No. 8 and Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War was No. 9.

In fact, only three studios cracked the top 10, with Universal Pictures taking three spots: Skyscraper at No. 4, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at No. 5, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom slipped to No. 7 after topping the September chart.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment had the other two top 10 titles, with Hotel Transylvania 3 at No. 3 and Sicario: Day of the Soldado at No. 10.
